Complaints, Appeals & DMCA

Anyone can make a complaint, with or without an account: use the form at /report or email hello@yourtype.ai. You can complain about content on YourType, about how we handled a report, or about a moderation decision on your own account.

We acknowledge complaints within 3 business days and resolve them within 7 business days.

Reports of intimate images shared without consent, or of content that may involve a minor or a real person, are prioritised: the content is taken down while we review, and non-consensual intimate images are removed within 48 hours of a valid request.

If we blocked content, removed something you shared, or suspended your account and you think we got it wrong, reply to our email or use /report and choose "Other complaint or appeal". A person who was not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal and we reply within 7 business days. Decisions involving minors or illegal content are not reversed.

If content showing you was removed and you believe it was removed in error, or if you are depicted and want content removed, the same appeal route applies.

Copyright notices must identify the work, the material, your contact details, a good-faith statement and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act. Send them to hello@yourtype.ai with the subject "Copyright notice".
